It was a 1-0 score heading into the top of the 6th inning when the tornado sirens went off and the game was called. Because 5 innings had been finished the game is considered complete. The only opportunity to score came from a Chase Boehne double and was stranded on 3rd.   It was shaping up to be a very good finish to the ball game; but the skies had other plans and that was all she wrote.

The Tigers traveled to New Ulm on Sunday with only 10 players. Putting up a good fight the Tigs fell short. New Ulm put forth a strong pitching performance as the Hendersonites could not overcome a 1 run deficit. Mat Peot and Matt Nagel combined to only give up 2 hits and struck out 8. However a key hit in the 6th put the Kieserhoff’s up by 1. Mitch Hammes and Dan Dahn had the only 2 hits for the Tigers.

Tigers put up a good fight against the Irish after being down by 3 heading into the 9th, when Mitch Hammes hit a 2 run home run. With the bases loaded and 1 out the Tigers failed to get the tying run home. Both teams played solid baseball, with only 1 error committed during the game. Highlights for the Tigers, Hammes had 2 hits (HR, 2B) and 2 RBI, Mat Nagel, Greg Graham and Dan Endres each had 2 hits. Cody Boelter gets the loss, however the pitching was good for the Tigers, striking out 8 and only walking 4.

The hometown Tigers traveled to Veseli for their season opener. The offense got off to a slow start, and poor fielding put the Tigs back 7 to 1 in just the first three innings. Not saying quit, the offense finally generated some runs tying the game up in the ninth inning. In extra innings the "New-Comer"... Zeb Frauendienst had a 2 tun blast in the 11th while Mitch Hammes contributed 3 hits and his own homerun. Nick Willmsen had three hits, and the Tiger Pitching staff did their homework striking out 15 Warriors to The Tigers 14. Both Kirby Weckworth and Matt Nagel get the hat tricks as they stikeout three times a piece. Tigers win 10-7 in 11 Innings and host Shakopee Next Sunday....
